MCC returns on October 12 to deliver “High Octane” to fight fans

The Midwest’s most popular mixed martial arts promotion has began putting together another star-studded fight card for their next event to be held Friday, October 12 at Hy Vee Hall, downtown Des Moines, Iowa.

Headlining MCC’s 43rd event, five-time UFC veteran, Kevin “The Fire” Burns prepares to step back in the cage against promotional newcomer Mark Stoddard. Burns, who is coming off a dominant performance at MCC 42 against Brazilian jiu jitsu ace, Mason Temiquel, is in hot pursuit of another ticket inside the world famous Octagon.

Also on the card, former middleweight champion, Mike “Mini Van” Van Meer, who has resurrected the once feared, Des Moines Extreme Fighting fight club, is excited to bring what he describes as “the fighter who became a champion” back into the cage. Van Meer will face off against Ryan Delf in a three round feature bout.

Featherweight standout, Luis Saldana, goes up against another striker, Prentiss Wolf. MCC newcomer, Bobby “Bone Crusher” Mosely is set to make his debut against the always explosive knock out artist, Benly Xamonty, and female fighting sensation, Courtney Miller takes on Mary Tipton. More fights will be announced in the upcoming days.

MCC matchmaker, Ryan Hass stated, “We wanted to not only showcase some of our top-tier talent at MCC 43, but we wanted to bring in some new fighters that we know will add value to the event. When MCC fans watch Courtney Miller vs Mary Tipton fight, they’re going to gain a new level of respect for female fighters, and the Mosely/Xamonty fight is going to be one of the best fights of 2012- just watch.”

Tickets for MCC 43: “High Octane” will be available on-line at www.MidwestCageChampionship.com, Wells Fargo Arena Box Office and at all Dahl’s Food Store ticket outlets.
